Instant Hit- 2 Belgen- Lena

"Lena" was a hit for the Belgian group 2 Belgen in 1985. Before the song got its high energy arrangement, it was released as B-side single in 1982. Their 1985 version which was written and produced by Rembert De Smet became a club hit around Europe, bypassing the '82 original version.

Analogue Shape of Things with John Foxx and the Maths

John Foxx and the Maths have completed their second album which is the follow-up to "Interplay" which was released earlier this year. The album, entitled "The Shape Of Things", will be a limited edition special package accompanied by a bonus disc of remixes. It is reported that the album is a lot rougher around the edges and more experimental than "Interplay" - with songs and stark, minimal sketches mixed in with some instrumental interludes. All of the tracks were recorded at Benge's studio in London.

OMD Revisit Eric's Club

The legendary music club in England has opened its doors again. Eric's Club which was opened in Liverpool on October 1, 1976 in a building basement on Mathew Street, has became notable for hosting early performances by many punk, new wave and post-punk bands as well as by The Beatles. Joy Division, Ultravox, Sex Pistols, Siouxsie and the Banshees and The Clash are among of the groups who performed some of their first gigs there. For OMD it all started at the Eric's club where they had their debut in 1978 and they came back to re-open the club after 33 years.
